The Torah Academy Girl's High School offers an outstanding Kodesh, Cheder and secular education within a warm and nurturing environment. A neat, presentable and cleanly dressed student creates a positive atmosphere in a school and makes an impression on others. It conveys the message that they have school pride and that the school can be proud of them. The school uniform is as follows: 1.1. A hand tailored pleated, navy blue skirt, measured to each individual pupil’s length of 11cm below the knee 1.2. A hand tailored blue, button up, long sleeve shirt 1.3. A v-neck pullover 1.4. Only black stockings or tights in winter and flesh stockings with short white socks in summer 1.5. Plain black shoes must be worn but no backless shoes are allowed 1.6. Only plain studs or sleepers 1.7. All long hair must be tied back in a pony tail 1.8. No make-up, jewelry or nail polish 1.9. No highlights are permitted 1.10. Please take note that any learner who wears clothing that is not school uniform will have it confiscated until the end of the term. CELL PHONES The Torah Academy Girls high school cell phone policy stresses that cell phones are not to be seen or heard during school hours. A student who fails to comply with this rule will have her cell phone confiscated until the end of the term. The Girls High School takes no responsibility for any cell phones that are confiscated. SIMCHAS Any student who attends a family simcha needs to notify the school in writing. The school policy in regard to communal simchas is that school starts at 07:50am the next day irrespective. Any student who feels that she is unable to be at school on time is forewarned that she will not be admitted onto the school premises late. TEXT BOOKS Learners must buy their own text books. Book lists have been forwarded to you.

SECURITY Seven Arrows Security monitors our school. We have one exist and entrance into the school which is covered all day by a security guard. There is a panic button in the office connected to the CSO control room. Once a term we do a school evacuation, run by CSO. Our guard is at the school from 7.30am till 17:00pm. Kindly take note that school office closes at 16.30pm. ABUSE AND SAFETY POLICY The Torah Academy has a student Abuse and Safety Policy. All students and staff are bound by this policy which can be viewed on our website. If at any time a student feels abused or unsafe they should report it to their teacher, principal or social worker. LEVY It is imperative that each parent pay their school levy. This may be paid off during the year. The amount of the levy for 2016 is R……. per child plus R…. security per family.
